Internal Gym Conversion into New Science Classrooms & Staff Room
The schools aim was to expand their Science department within the existing school. This project involved the conversion of the existing two-storey school gym into two floors and the creation of two new laboratory teaching classrooms on the ground floor. The first floor was formed with steel support with timber joists and floor forming a large open space to house a new staffroom above the classrooms.
Remodelling of existing stores and surrounding areas were refurbished and altered to accommodate new offices, stores and a science prep room.

Woodley Coles provided full Quantity Surveying and Contract Administration services on this project, helping the client with financial advice before going out to Tender, managing the Tender process and post contract processes. This involved collating the Tender documents, preparing a schedule of works and Employers requirements.
Post Contract Woodley Coles have led the progress meetings, took meeting minutes, chased up actions and provided contractual advice. We also carried out valuations, cost reporting, assessments of variations, issued instructions, and valuation certificates.
